Friends at Youth Guidance provide counseling and life-transforming interventions to Chicago's youth. They help young people find success in school and in life. On Thursday, May 14th, 2020, their mission hit the after-burners at their pioneering, Bright Futures Virtual Gala.

What was to be an in-person, sold-out, 1,000 guests in attendance fundraiser, was reimagined into a #VirtualGala. It was moved from the Hilton Chicago to an online effort. Cocktails rolled at 5:30p, followed by a short program complete with a live paddle raise with yours truly. President Obama delivered opening remarks, rallying one and all to be that social cohesive connector, and to do something bigger, so that young people can fly forward for the good of the community.

The Change Making Cavalry arrived and the aviation community flew high, as the effort was the most successful in their 96 year history - delivering over $1,250,000.
