Our earlier sketches were for a?28- to 42-living unit building. But to start small, we've come up with a more compact design that's about 1/4 the size of the earlier plans: see our six sketches for an?8-10-living-unit building?including four 2-bedroom living units on the first floor, a community room/chapel, two 1-bedroom living units and two 2-bedroom living units on the second floor, and possibly two extra 1-bedroom units or offices in the loft, plus optional six side buildings that can be added later, each with?6 living units, altogether totaling?36-54 living units, 26-44 of them being wheelchair-accessible.

These free PDF documents explain how these communities will operate, and quote in detail how a similar organization with about 25 such communities organizes and finances their non-profit housing cooperatives.
