A Brief Note on Healing… with Roses

I am healing from a stinky cold this week, so this is just a brief note. Beyond all the usual remedies—rest, nourishing foods, vitamins, and herbal syrups—roses have been part of my healing.

Their beauty lifts the spirit, their scent soothes the nervous system, and their presence and aliveness nourish the endocrine system. In leadership, as in life, healing is not just about recovery; it’s about receiving, softening, and allowing joy to be part of our restoration. When we tend to our own well-being, we lead from a place of wholeness.

  1. How do you incorporate beauty into your leadership?
  2. What simple things help you restore your energy and presence?
  3. What brings you joy when you are healing?

A simple practice: Take a moment today to notice something beautiful around you. Let yourself receive it fully—whether it’s a flower, a piece of art, the sky, or a moment of kindness. Breathe it in. Let it work its quiet magic on your being. Leading well starts with being well.
