2021: The Inaugural Tournament
The first edition of the PFT kicked off in 2021, drawing in enthusiastic spectators eager to support their colleagues. Eight teams, composed of employees from various clients and sectors, participated. Each match was a thrilling display of skill, strategy, and teamwork, fostering an electric atmosphere. The POL-UBA OPS team emerged as the first champions, and the tournament successfully strengthened inter-departmental relationships and promoted unity within the company.
2022: Growing Excitement
In 2022, the tournament expanded, welcoming ten teams to the competition. Even more spectators gathered to cheer for their favorite teams, with matches filled with intensity, skill, and dedication. The excitement culminated in a dramatic final, with the POL-First Bank team winning the tournament and setting the stage for future editions. The event solidified the PFT as a cherished tradition within the organization.
2023: A Year of Pause
Due to unexpected challenges, the PFT took a pause in 2023. While the competition was missed, this break offered an opportunity to reflect on the tournament’s purpose and impact, and to plan for an even grander return.

2024: Goal Rush - A Grand Return
The Phillips Football Tournament is back for its third edition in 2024, themed "Goal Rush!" Ten teams will compete for the prestigious trophy and enticing cash prizes, as the defending champions, POL-First Bank Team, prepare to defend their title. This year's tournament will bring together employees from various client companies, fostering teamwork and camaraderie across the organization.
Expect thrilling matches, unforgettable moments, and the competitive spirit that makes the PFT special. Alongside the games, we have lined up activities and entertainment for spectators, ensuring a fantastic time for everyone.
