Brief History of the Decanter

Decanters produced with advanced centrifuge technology distinguish themselves from traditional liquid separators by their ability to perform solid-liquid separation. Their origins trace back to the 1700s. According to sources, the first decanter prototypes emerged in the 18th century when British military engineers invented a rotating arm device to measure resistance. By 1836, the first three-legged centrifuge was invented in Germany. The first decanter used for separating cream was developed in Sweden in 1878.


Improvements in Rotational Speed

Decanter technology underwent significant evolution from the mid-20th century onwards. By the 1960s, advancements in material technology and engineering techniques made decanters more durable, efficient, and versatile.
