ASTM A182 is the American standard material standard for high-pressure forged pipe fittings and flanges. It includes material requirements for multiple grades of alloys and stainless steel. Forged pipe fittings and flanges are mainly used in the connection of pipeline systems and are widely used in petroleum, chemical, natural gas and other industries. Let’s take a look at the ASTM A182 material standard.
1. ASTM A182 stainless steel high-pressure forged pipe fittings:
ASTM A182 stainless steel forged pipe fittings are divided into two major categories, threaded pipe fittings and socket pipe fittings. These two categories include elbows, tees, crosses, pipe hoops, pipe caps, unions, pipe plugs, core fillers, short joints, reducers and other pipe fitting types.
Pipe fitting size range: 1/8 inch--4 inch
Threaded pipe fittings pressure: 2000# 3000# 6000#
Socket fitting pressure: 3000# 6000# 9000#
2. ASTM A182 high pressure forged flange:
ASTM A182 forged flange types: butt welding flange (WN), socket flange (SW), flat welding flange (SO), threaded flange (TH), blind flange (BL), long welding neck Flange (LWN), loose flange (LAPJ) SAE flange type.
Size range: 1/2 inch - 24 inches. For butt weld flanges (WN) and blind flanges (BL), sizes up to 60 inches.
Pressure Level:
ASME flanges: Class 150#, 300#, 600#, 900#, 1500#, 2500#.
API flanges: Class 75, 150, 300, 600, 900.
JIS Flanges: JIS B2220 5K, 10K, 16K, 20K, 30K
DIN flanges: 6 Bar, 10 Bar, 16 Bar, 25 Bar, 40 Bar.
BS 4504 Flanges: PN10, PN16
