Brief book review: what every new manager needs to know

I just read the book by Gus Gaynor with the title "what every new manager needs to know". Let me share with you a couple of thoughts about it: it is a basic guide if you are looking for simple and repeatable steps and ideas if you just were given any managerial responsibility.

It talks about purposes, processes, people (the three Ps) and provides some hints on how to approach activities that managers need to do. Some of them very attractive, some others not so much (the activities, I mean).

Key key point: listening is difficult, and act upon that you listen is even more. Practice it!
