Now, looking back to the year that was, we can all agree that there have been many changes happening in the way we do events. And shifting to digital, had it’s own shifts as well. Something we have done, and continuously do with all our products is that we never “push” our clients towards technology for the sake of using technology. It should always make sense. We started our virtual platform with something, that we now had the need to shift. Why, you may ask?
In short, there is a big shift coming and it is due to scalability.
A few crucial factors drove our decision to make the move to invest more energy in mimic : 360.
We observed a lot of movement in how people perceive the concept of virtual events in this market. And in general, there are 2 prevailing perceptions of how virtual events should function. The first being a functional website reflecting event experiences onto the web browser, while the other is a more gamified experience. In the beginning, many of our clients felt that it should be a gamified experience, which automatically linked our development to avatar-based environments.
Something very important to mention is that avatar-based environments are constrained by the current state of technology which dictates that virtual event attendees must run a downloadable app, or experience a heavily limited environment (limited in visual quality) through their web browser window as an alternative. As we firmly stand by our commitment to deliver quality, along with the brands that work with us who also put a great deal of attention to their image and standards of quality, it is not feasible to achieve the high-quality real-time rendering of the graphics, while maintaining the solution’s accessibility and scalability for larger audiences.
Due to these current confines, we are moving mimic : space to a separate beta product under the brand of SpaceTo that we will ceaselessly work on in terms of R&D to expand the capabilities and optimize the experience. Meanwhile, we are serving our customers with the scalable and high-quality alternative which is a dynamic virtual 360 tour. The dynamic 360 tour, called mimic: 360 has the possibility of updating data on the fly, running on a web browser fully mobile friendly and is easily integratable through serverless architecture.
We already have clients that have trusted us in successfully delivering mimic : 360 for their events, such as a virtual job fair that was, by far, the largest virtual exhibition in the Middle East, and a more sales-oriented exhibition serving as a virtual showroom for Textron.
We are focusing our resources on technology R&D to hone in on impressive, scalable, and easily accessible solutions that will ensure a great community reach. There are going to be more modules focused on virtual human interaction within both offerings, with mimic : 360 being available for your future event starting now.
This is our growth plan for the near future, do let us know how you would like to serve you even better.
