Bridging Tradition and Innovation: AI's Role in Restaurants.

One of the most rewarding parts of co-founding AI-Solution has been the opportunity to discuss with an incredible number of members from the restaurant industry.

Through these conversations, I’ve had the opportunity to learn much. But also, to teach. Artificial intelligence and tech are often overlooked by hardworking members of the industry who believe in their own skills but tend to ignore innovation out of trust for the traditional way of doing things.

Last January, I had the great opportunity to have an open discussion with Robert Laporte , one of my former teachers at the Hospitality and Tourism Institute of Quebec (ITHQ), on the topic of AI in the restaurant industry. He is now one of the Institute's research professors.

I’d like to begin by thanking my former creativity and innovation teacher for the amazing opportunity to speak with him and his students. As well as congratulating him on this new role as research professor! I’d also like to thank his students for the time they gave me.

I can’t express how enthusiastic I was to take part in the educational path of university level students at one of the top hospitality institutions in North America. It goes without saying that Mr. Laporte as well as his students presented some very good questions.

Let’s not forget that these very same students will be some of the first to enter the restaurant/hospitality industry after the arrival of AI.

This edition of our newsletter has two goals.
