Under our Transition 2023 initiative, our aim is to be supportive of NGOs so as to promote sustainability and to ensure literacy.?In this vein, on 28 April, 2022, MUA staff members spent the day at Etoile du Berger at Albion. The outing was geared towards Art Therapy courses, a project intrinsically linked to the education of vulnerable children under the Transition 2023 initiative.?
Etoile du Berger is a non-profit charitable organization whose objective is to undertake activities for the rehabilitation of children from vulnerable groups. The care centre houses and supports ten children aged 3 to 7 with the drive of preparing them for their entry into adulthood. They are cared for by three fantastic ladies who ensure their healthy development on the daily.??
The day unfolded from an icebreaker activity whereby the MUA group got acquainted to the children and vice versa. It was then followed by the exploration of the outdoors where the children were tasked with finding natural materials to use in their art session. The Art Therapy session was themed “Do what makes you happy” and each child produced a postcard. Additionally, the day was fun filled with activities and the children danced their hearts away with the MUA staff. They shared snacks, fruits and drinks and mingled amply while maintaining all the sanitary precautions.?
