Bridging the digital divide - requesting input on our next report

Last week we released the first report from our new Crossing the Digital Divide Topic Team, which has had catalytic support from Nomura Research Institute (NRI).

The 27-page report, now available for download at aging2.com/digitaldivide lays out three key trends: Cashless society, the urban-rural shift, and the surging demand for social services (all exacerbated by Covid-19). It explores these broad topics with data and industry insight and poses a number of questions.

In the coming weeks we'll be pulling together a follow up report on associated opportunity areas and innovators. If you'd like to recommend a tech product, an innovative policy, research project or systems change concept in one of the above three areas (or a related one) please contact me ASAP (comment below or by email). The first report has had hundreds of downloads in the few days since it was launched; we'll circulate the next report even more widely, giving a nice publicity boost to those organisations included.

Also, if you'd like to join NRI as a supporting organisation, subject-matter expert or academic as part of this formative effort to build a new global 'open innovation collaborative' around this important topic, do get in touch.
