Marathon Momentum
I want to congratulate so many friends (colleagues and clients) who conquered the NYC Marathon this weekend. I love to see the impact "events" have on the local economy. Here's a fun?Mastercard study?on the impact.

GenAI Assistant for Onboarding
I mentioned?last week, that AI was front & center at Money 20/20. One of the most notable announcements came from?Mastercard.
Mastercard unveiled a groundbreaking, in-house-developed AI digital assistant to transform customer engagement across its platforms. This next-generation assistant, built with Mastercard’s AI capabilities, is tailored to handle a wide spectrum of customer inquiries—from transaction issues to rewards questions—offering highly accurate, rapid responses.
For businesses, this innovation promises streamlined service delivery, personalized interactions, and a boost in customer loyalty. By bringing AI development in-house, Mastercard reinforces a strong commitment to cutting-edge, efficient digital solutions, highlighting a trend in financial services where AI plays a key role in creating seamless, intuitive experiences.
This is one to watch as AI transforms how brands connect with customers.
Unlikely Allies
DoorDash has?teamed up?with Lyft to offer DashPass members exclusive benefits on Lyft rides—a smart collaboration that brings value to consumers beyond food delivery.
For financial institutions, partnerships like these highlight the potential of “unlikely allies” to expand benefits, deepen customer engagement, and differentiate their offerings in unique, customer-centric ways.
Embracing cross-industry collaborations can unlock new growth opportunities and create compelling value for cardholders in today’s competitive market.
Pulse of the Week
Emily's?Weekly Digest?highlights SoFi's Halloween-themed communications and Bilt's ramp-up in advertising and addition of Paid YouTube into the marketing mix.
With an election today and a critical Fed meeting later in the week, rates are top of mind for many. Capital One is using this opportunity for consumers to lock in some CDs at high rates.
Lastly, Andrew's latest Lightbulb Moments cover many interesting updates including one that caught my attention the most.
The new Amex Hypercard redefines convenience and control for business travelers and high-spending individuals by seamlessly merging personal and business expenses onto one platform.
Positioned as a powerful tool for frequent travelers, the Hypercard offers customizable spending limits, advanced budgeting tools, and a streamlined dashboard that tracks both work-related and personal purchases in real-time.

Also, having Sam Altman backing the company doesn't hurt in generating more hype.
