SRM College of Pharmacy B.Pharm Students Gained Experience in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing at Sai Mirra Innopharm , Ambattur

At SRM College of Pharmacy, we believe in bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world industry practices.

To provide our students with practical exposure, a group of B.Pharm students visited Sai Mirra, Ambattur, on February 15, 2025, for an insightful industrial visit focused on pharmaceutical manufacturing and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

This visit aimed to enhance students’ understanding of drug production processes while emphasising the critical role of GMP in ensuring product safety, efficacy, and quality. The students observed various aspects of pharmaceutical manufacturing, gaining valuable exposure to industry-standard protocols and advanced production techniques.

Key Highlights of the Industrial Visit:

?? Tablet Manufacturing Process:

Students explored the various stages involved in tablet production, including:

? Granulation: The process of forming granules to ensure uniform drug distribution.

? Compression: Shaping the granules into tablets using high-precision equipment.

? Coating: Applying protective layers to enhance tablet stability and patient compliance.

?? Liquid Syrup Packaging Unit:

The visit also included a detailed walkthrough of the liquid dosage form manufacturing section, where students witnessed:

? Filling: Precise dispensing of liquid formulations into bottles.

? Capping & Sealing: Ensuring product integrity and tamper resistance.

? Labelling & Packaging: Applying regulatory-compliant labels and preparing products for distribution.
