Let's talk about the difference between a web application and a native application before we get into the topic. Thanks to HTML, online apps gained popularity in 2014. The only major distinction between a web application and a webpage is that a web application focuses on user interaction.
Progressive Web Apps, often known as PWAs, are hybrid web apps that provide greater performance and user engagement.
It is undeniable that the mobile industry is experiencing unprecedented growth, resulting in widespread smartphone availability. This is complemented by easy and affordable access to high-speed internet connections. Today, everyone has a smartphone and high-speed internet access. This has resulted in a shift in internet usage from PCs to cellphones.
As a result, in order to be efficient in such an environment, Google created PWA in 2015, which allows consumers to view fast-loading webpages on their smartphones. PWA makes use of service workers, which simply save the PWA's server in the user's browser, and the system updates it with new feeds from time to time. As a result, websites load faster and operate better across all platforms, including PCs, smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices.
The following are some of the benefits of Progressive Web Apps:
1. A layout that adapts to any device
Responsiveness is a requirement that every website must meet. In simple terms, it means that a website adjusts to the screen size of the device from which it is accessed. Progressive Web Apps are the best at what they do (PWA).

2. Reasonably priced
PWAs are cost-effective in the sense that they eliminate the need to create multiple versions of the same website that are compatible with various platforms. As a result, PWA assists you in lowering development costs.
3. There have been no updates.
PWAs, unlike regular apps, do not employ the usual installation process, which directs users to the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store to receive updates. PWAs, on the other hand, are clever enough to update themselves when a visitor visits the site. As a result of the lack of traditional updates, visitors save a significant amount of time.
4. Less Storage Consumption
One of the most significant advantages of PWA is that it takes up less memory space; whereas old native apps can occupy up to 50 MB or more on a smartphone, the PWA version takes up less than 2 MB.
5. Easily Linkable
As a result of the URLs, the PWAs are simple to share.
Now that I've laid out the benefits of PWA for you, here's some more good news: any website can be a progressive web app!
