Indian food had a special place in the heart of Brian just because of his Grandma’s exceptional cooking skills. There was one problem, Grandma was a Hitler Vegetarian whereas Brian had issued red cards to vegetarian, vegan in his dictionary from the time unknown. It was just in India he has been having vegetarian consistent.
Hen as chicken and lamb as mutton is how Brian perceives! During the Moonlight TED Talks Brian would casually inquire where do we get good Non-Veg food and unanimous voting from all of them would be for Aslam Dada.
Aslam Dada lived in a small hut surrounded by a huge open space for country chickens to move around freely but within his thorn made compound wall gated community. The place had simple cots made of rope that looked like a tennis net. Brian was his royal guest and would be invited inside the hut to have food, unlike others. But Brian loved sitting in the cot accompanied by hot chicken Biryani, the most popular celebrity recipe of Aslam Dada.
This place was just a quarter mile away from his House and Brian would send a messenger to inform Dada that he would be there for food. Dada would prepare a feast with specially chosen country chicken. On that day too, an inviting, killed aroma sorry killing aroma of the chicken made his taste buds restless. Brian enjoyed a full chicken Biryani, with continuous thanks & thanks to Dada and he hasn’t thanked even Christ enough like that.
While walking out, Brian was followed by a few chickens that were quite small. Dada burst out laughing and said, they still want to follow their Mother. Brian thought to himself, these Indian Country Chickens are very sentimental and booked his tomorrow’s appointment for another plate of Biryani that’s fully loaded with Life.
