Brexit Result - What Next ?

Brexit Result - What Next ?

So the country has decided, or at least the majority of the country has, and we are to leave Europe and find our own way.

In just a few days, there has been a whole host of differing opinions on the actual vote and how the result will affect the UK in both the short and long-term.

Personally, I voted to stay in Europe, but it wasn’t to be and the emphasis has switched to how we make the best of it. I will look to explore opportunities and make sure that we put I put all my efforts into pushing the fact that we are to leave, and that it will not be the end of the world. It may, however, be the end of the Europe project.

I will not participate or sign the petition to have another referendum, the decision has been taken and we all need to pull together and make this work. We cannot look to another referendum, as this may lead to even more fracturing within the country.

We have already seen the Prime Minister deciding to stand down and it looks as if the opposition party is in meltdown.

We need to be very clear, we have voted to leave the EU, but we now need to work together and make sure that Government and politics in the UK do not self-destruct.

We need a clear and strong leader for this country to make our exit a success, we need to be strong when looking for trade deals and not turn our back on the largest, closest market just over the channel. Who the leader should be is a question for the next debate; there is one contender currently, but I would like to see further members of Parliament put themselves forward so we have a choice.

There will be changes, there may indeed be tough times ahead, but we can look to a bright future. And, if we all pull together, rather than dwell on the result and what happened, then we can continue to see manufacturing and business in this country succeed......

A good positive message. Supporting the outcome even though you voted to remain.

I see this as an opportunity, and I'd like to see us invest in training our workforce so they can deliver productivity in our businesses and use technology to create opportunities and build business on a global scale. We can do it!

Nice to read some positive comments for a change. We have two choices, roll over and die or get up and get on with it.. I know which one is for me and it is a reflection of what we experience in our normal lives.

Very balanced as usual Chris. I feel we will succeed out of Europe because of the passion of people like us to make it. There may be a wobble on the markets etc but the world will move on quickly. That's the difference between now and 1973 : nothing is static for long

Chris, like you I am focused on seeking and realising for clients the benefits of a Brexit environment. There are undoubtedly going to be challenges along the way but we need to press on front foot forward.
