Brexit Options: Deal (Free Trade; Canada++,Chequers). No Deal (WTO Rules). Tusk has scuppered any chance of Chequers working! What now?

Is the divisive nature of the debate playing exactly into the hands of the EU? Are they trying to destabilise the populous by delaying the negotiations to the bitter end? Is this a divide and rule strategy? Is the objective of the EU to scare the UK into a second referendum, in order to, just like Ireland make the electorate capitulate into reversing the vote to leave? Is this an organisation that truly believes in democracy? Or is it democracy on their terms only? Will we surrender the pound and move towards a federalised EU with the centre of power in Berlin or Paris via Strasbourg and Brussels?

The eminent Sophologist Professor John Curtice has stated clearly and unequivocally that there is NO evidence of an appetite for a second referendum; but politicians such as Vince Cable et al state that the contrary is the case. Unelected power brokers such as labour party member and former spin doctor Alastair Campbell espouses a “peoples vote”. Why does the opinion of a former spin doctor have any weight any more or less than anyone else? Why does his view get more airtime?

When does a referendum result get given short shrift because the minority that lost the vote get to protest so much that they force a second referendum? Are we on the cusp of being brow beaten into submission?

Is the accusations of antisemitism and Islamophobia, a side show to further create division and derision among the electorate of the major parties? Is dog whistle politics and populism the new reality? Is there a deep state trying to destabilise us into reversing our decision to leave the EU or is it more scaremongering by a few?

Is there a real prospect of trade falling off a cliff with our near neighbours a sustainable proposition? Will our trading partners of old really stop trading with us because of Brexit?

Is the old adage that “those who keep their heads when all around are losing theirs” worth remembering during this time of alleged instability? Is there really instability or just an attempt to scupper Brexit using fear, manipulation and fake news? Is the perception of instability worse than the reality? Is there an attempt to make the electorate believe that the UK can’t go it alone? If the UK does reverse Brexit are we to expect that sterling will end within a generation? Are we to expect the British Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force to be merged into an EU Force? Is the UK now forced to accept that the red lines are defined by the EU now? 

Are we now in a Mexican stand off between the leave camp, the remain camp, and the EU?
