Brexit - my reaction
I dearly wish that the referendum vote had gone the other way, and almost feel I'll wake up soon and find out that the result was just a terrible dream.
However I'd like to give a message to all non British nationals living and working in London (60% vote for remain) and the borough where I live, Richmond (69% vote for remain): you're welcome here. We want you to stay. And I vow to fight hard to keep London as the welcoming, outward looking, open and cosmopolitan city that we its citizens have said loudly that we want it to be.
And I'd like to give a message to all my friends, both business and personal, outside the UK, especially in the US, Israel, Sweden, Spain, Germany and France where I personally have such strong and valued friends and partners. We are resourceful. We will find another way to succeed. Please stand by us.

8 年Are you seriously assuming that the UK a country with 62 million inhabitants represents 30% of the sale in the EU (507 million) of american companies. This was a good reason to choose the disaster.
good words. we will stand by you

8 年The British people are resourceful and will find a way through this mess. The Brexit camp may yet be very disappointed with a final outcome that is not that different from EU membership. Hopefully we will see some credible plans emerge in the coming months.
