Why Spillage Control is Important

Ideally, when materials are loaded onto a conveyor belt, it is with the intention that it will stay on the belt until its final destination is reached. Unfortunately, this won't always be the case without having the proper solutions in place targeted on minimizing and eliminating spillage.

Once materials begin overflowing and falls from the belt, many issues can begin to arise that will have an adverse effect on productivity and efficiency of equipment as well as each lost material resulting in lost profits.

Spilled materials and dirt begin to create unwanted build-up under and around equipment. Leaving this unresolved causes damage to the conveyor belt and the machinery used in the conveyor system, requiring them to be replaced.

The Solution to Spillage Control

Brelko have designed a one-stop-shop solution with their all in one spillage control point. Included is a Universal Feedboot that ensures material stays on the conveyor belt when loaded and is aligned using a Keyskirt. From here, the conveyor passes along to the belt scrapers that scrape the wet material into the load, ensuring it is not left to build-up on the conveyor belt. Finally, the belt tracking system is utilized to keep the conveyor belt aligned until it reaches the other end where the ploughs will scrape the inside of the belt.
