In last month's poll, the most popular answers were mitigation and adaptation. These are fundamental strategies in response to climate change. They each have different goals and require different types of action.?

Mitigation involves reducing greenhouse gas emissions through renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable practices.?Learn how BREEAM is leading on decarbonization of the built environment.

Adaptation involves adjusting to climate changes, reducing vulnerability to harmful effects, and exploiting potential benefits. It includes building defences against climate impacts and developing resilient systems.
