Breathe & Relax - "5 in 5"


In this session I want to talk about five and five. It's a recent quote that I heard that I can't help but think would be very practical when it comes to our relationships. Here's how it goes. If whatever's bothering you, if whatever the current challenge is won't matter in five years, don't spend more than five minutes worrying about it. Don't spend more than five minutes fretting about it. Don't spend more than five minutes struggling with it because it doesn't matter. The big things, are what we need to pay attention to, the small things come and go. So when it comes to your relationships, if it won't matter in five years, don't spend more than five minutes worrying about it relationships, believe it or not, actually become healthier with some friction, some healthy dose of respectful pushback. It's okay. I talk about relationship headwind, tailwind, and more importantly, turbulence. We could all get through those with a little more effort, a little more thinking, a little more investment in those relationships. I tell a friend of mine when she gets a all razzled up, breathe, relax, focus, and then speak, act, move the relationship forward.
