Breathe, Huddle, Repeat

Breathe, Huddle, Repeat

"March on. Do not tarry. To go forward is to move toward perfection. March on, and fear not the thorns, or the sharp stones on life's path." -- Khalil Gibran

Providing care to a loved one is precious! If done right, this is the most fulfilling of all experiences.

As someone who’s life is enriched by family members with dementia, autism and traumatic brain injury - I’ve been reflecting on how to do this effectively. And here’s what has made it to the list so far:

  1. Breathe, and take one day at a time.
  2. Huddle as best as possible to incubate your hope. One day it’ll hatch and take you places. Repeat as needed.

This post is dedicated with gratitude to all caregivers.
