Breathe... Everything Will Be Okay

What Do You See?

I see palm trees blowing in the wind, warm water, and a rocky beach. That's obvious right? Look closer at the water in the distant. See the waves?

At first look, we believe this is a calming picture. Yet in the distance, there is a single wave... way out there in the ocean. That is where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Ocean. On the right side of that wave it's cold, rigid, and choppy. On the left side, the wave it is warm, calm, relaxing.

My wife and I took the opportunity on this trip to feel the water from both sides of that distant wave, and how each side of that wave made us feel. You can imagine one side made us anxious, while the other side calmed us.

What Side of the Wave Are You Right Now?

I believe everyone wishes they could enjoy the calm side of life right now, and we all know just how choppy our lives can be when we're on the wrong side of the wave. The reality is, we cannot fully appreciate the calm warm waters of life unless we experience the cold choppy waters too! I don't advocate living 24/7 in choppy waters or creating choppy water for others, but we can make a concerted effort to swim to the calm side as often as possible and take a moment to ourselves.

Breathe... Everything Will Be Okay

So, take a moment. Close your eyes. Imagine a calm place and breathe.... Everything will be okay. Find a way to get to the calm side and enjoy! You got this.... Keep moving forward...
