Breathe Deep
Following on from my post on Tuesday I had a thought about what strategies could be used to ground oneself when in the middle of "it"!
I share a powerful tool for managing anxiety. You may have heard of deep breathing exercises.
When in the midst of an anxious situation, or moments after, take a moment to inhale deeply to a count of 6 and exhale slowly to a count of 10. To increase your selnse of control you could also hold your breath for 2-3 seconds at the end of each in breath and at the end of each out breath.
See how this feels and if your sense of anxiety lightens you could use techniques like this in the future when you experience turbulent times. It could be an anchor. #AnxietyManagement #MentalWellness #careofself #lightworker #toolbox
