Breath In, Breath out
Amid the unique challenges faced by single parents, finding moments of calm and grounding is crucial.
After my divorce, as a single parent, I wrestled with separation anxiety from my child, always yearning to keep him close. With the encouragement of friends and family, I began to realize the importance of allowing him to chart his own course.
At a mere 5 years old, he courageously embarked on his first solo flight, marking a pivotal moment towards his independence. Although children enter our lives through us, they are not our possessions. Our responsibility is to nurture and guide them, not to control or command them.
While navigating the complexities of separation anxiety as a single parent has been challenging, our bond has only grown stronger. We've come to respect each other's unique paths and provide the space needed for individual growth. This is all part of life's journey, and we're dedicated to facing it side by side, continuing to evolve together.
In those quiet moments, remember to breathe deeply, find your inner calm, and approach the journey with love and patience.
