Breast Cancer Awareness Month at Rekor
One of our core values is People First. Behavioral competencies aligned with this core value are Self Awareness and Resilience.?
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and brings an opportunity to become more aware and resilient with a focus on health and well-being (men can get breast cancer, too).
While breast cancer is the most common cancer in women worldwide, as 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer, most cases are curable if caught early. Better screening and early detection, increased awareness, and continually improving treatment options have also helped death rates from breast cancer decline since about 1990.
We wanted to share information about prevention, resources for help and diagnosis, and opportunities to become involved in supporting local communities.

Steps to prevention and early detection?
Don't Play with your Health. Get checked! Mammograms are the best way to find breast cancer early—when it is easier to treat and before it is big enough to feel or cause symptoms. When breast cancer is detected early, and if adequate diagnosis and treatment are available, breast cancer is curable.
How to get involved and support?
There are countless ways to help. You can give a charitable donation or time to a local event, spreading awareness in the community. Even becoming self-aware and assisting members of your family take preventive steps is an excellent start in supporting the cause.
Breast cancer touches all of us, so let's promote healthy lifestyles, well-being, and Breast Cancer Awareness this month!?In the coming weeks, look for different events here at Rekor to help support and raise awareness.
