Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a mental illness characterized by recurring unwanted thoughts or sensations (Obsessions) or the desire to do something repeatedly (Compulsions). Obsessions and Compulsions can coexist in some people.
People may not want to think or act this way, but they feel powerless to stop their actions. OCD is known to affect women slightly more than men. Symptoms usually appear in teenagers or young adults. There is no cure for OCD. However, symptoms can be managed through medicine, therapy, or a combination of the two.?
