Breaking up with a Toxic mindset...
Hey Elan here,
There is common mindset that many women I coach struggle with when it comes to their exercise and food. Many fall into the trap of thinking that if I don't eat perfectly or if I indulge in a less-than-ideal meal, all my efforts in working out or exercising go to waste.
However, I want to emphasize that this mindset is completely wrong and is what is hindering your progress.
Every time you complete a workout, it's a big win for the day that you should be proud of. Regardless of what you eat afterward, your workout remains a positive achievement for the day and the week.
It's important to acknowledge and celebrate these wins. Rather than thinking in terms of canceling out positives and negatives, let's focus on adding as many positives as possible into our lives.
By enjoying both our workouts and our meals, we can cultivate a more sustainable approach to our overall well-being.
Remember, there are very few "bad" foods aside from those containing trans fats. If you live in Ireland or most of Europe you won't even need to worry about these are they are mostly common in America. Food quality standards are much better in Ireland compared to the US.
As long as you maintain a balanced approach, incorporating protein, carbs, and fats into every meal while keeping an eye on your calorie and macro intake, you can achieve great results in terms of your health, energy levels, body and fitness.

The key is to view training as a positive experience. When you come home and enjoy your dinner, that's another positive moment. And if you choose to indulge in a treat like ice cream after dinner, (like I do nearly every night) that too can be a positive part of your day.
Note: I am lactose sensitive so I buy vegan chocolate magnums in Lidl and honestly they taste almost the exact same as a chocolate magnum with cows milk, I highly recommend for anyone else with a similar issue to me.
A mere 200 calories from one ice cream will not make or break your progress considering to maintain your weight most women require 1800-2000 calories per day. It should simply be something you savor and enjoy. What's the point of living if you are not going to enjoy yourself???
In conclusion, think about shifting your mindset towards embracing positivity and adding more positives into your daily routine.
Break up with the idea of a negative cancels out a positive.
Don't let the fear of imperfection hold you back. By doing so, you'll break free from the cycle of feeling stuck and propel yourself towards feeling like the best version of yourself.
