Breaking up is hard to do…Or is it?
I recently viewed a post on LinkedIn showing a time lapse video of a bridge being demolished. It was fun and very satisfying to watch. https://www.dhirubhai.net/feed/update/urn:li:ugcPost:6476864160092160000
The video illustrated how fast and easy something can be torn down. I suspect the bridge took years to design, plan and build but according to the video it was demolished in just one night.
I considered how this concept can relate to important things in our lives like our personal relationships. It takes years to develop and build relationships with our families, friends and customers. Relationships are built with hard things. Not things like cement and steel but love and trust. Sadly, poor life choices in the form of reckless words and harmful actions can quickly destroy relationships.
Let’s be mindful of how our words and actions are either building up or tearing down the important things in our lives.
