Breaking Through with Google Ads

If you’ve never run a Google ad campaign before, the process can be quite overwhelming. Although Google provides templates to get you started, there are so many different types of campaigns that it's easy to get lost in the sea of information. If you're ready to jump on board with your first ad and looking for a place to start, then this post is for you.

You must think about your goals and create focused ad campaigns that will serve as an interactive way for interested prospects to find out more about what interests them. Whether your goal is to increase online visibility or earn an income from advertisements, this article will help you learn about the basics of these ads.

Use Google Ads to Grow Your Business

Google advertisements can help grow a business, whether it's a physical business or an e-commerce platform. Here are some tips and tricks:

  • Conversion Rate Improvement: Google has one of the best advertising platforms because they have an extremely high conversion rates. There are many variations and types of ads that you can use to improve your website's conversion rate and visibility. You can even create several different ads, each targeting a specific type of customer and driving them to your site.
  • Frequency Decisions: If you notice that certain ads do not result in a large number of clicks, consider buying more ad space to get your message out. You can also experiment with changing the type of ad you are running. For instance, if you notice that customers have trouble finding your website through the search results on your keywords, it might be worthwhile to connect people with an easier ad to find.
  • Customer Retargeting: Grow your business by implementing customer retargeting ads. These ads follow a customer who has visited your site and then show them advertisements for other products or services they may be interested in. These ads usually appear at the top of a search results page. If a customer has visited your website and is interested in your products, they will look at the ad and click to find out more about the product.
  • Long-Term Advertising: Google ads are also known for their longevity. Over time, they have been used and are still present on most search engines. Many businesses use Google ads as long-term advertising campaigns instead of relying on other forms of advertising that tend to be less visible over time.
  • Paid Search Ads: In the past, businesses primarily used paid search ads to advertise their products and services. However, these are slowly being phased out in favor of more targeted ads that help you reach your customers with greater efficiency. If you're going to advertise on a search engine, it's advisable to create your ads and utilize Google ads as a platform.

Three Ways you can Improve your Ads

1. Writing a Great Ads Text

One of the most important aspects of creating an ad is writing a great ads text. It would help if you created something that attracts people to click on your ad. Consider using attention-grabbing headlines, as they have been shown to have a higher conversion rate than other ads. If you are selling a product or service, provide incredible benefits and make sure that you list a call-to-action.

2. Refine your Keywords

One of the most important aspects of creating an ad is considering the keywords you are using. There are two ways to approach this: You can use broad or specific keywords. If your business is a general store, it might be good to use broad keywords, such as "electronic store" or "general store". However, if your business specializes in selling a specific product, focusing on that particular product will be far more effective.

3. Incorporate Ad Extensions

If you're looking to implement a more sophisticated ad, you might want to consider utilizing extensions. Extensions allow you to highlight important information about your business or offer exciting promotional deals that customers might be interested in. An extension could include a free download for your product, something extra for people who buy over a certain amount of products, or even adding a barcode so that people can scan your advertisement and find the product.

Measure the Success of Your Ads

It's good to know how well your ads are doing, so here are some tips on how you can measure the success of your ad campaign.

  • Views and Impressions: Simply put, views indicate how many people have seen your advertisements, whereas impressions represent the number of times that Google has shown your ad on a search results page.
  • Click-Through Rate: This is the most important measurement to assess the success of an ad. If a user is interested in your product but cannot find that product in the search results despite clicking on one of your ads, you will want to check this rate. The click-through rate (CTR) is the percentage of people who click on your ad and then visit the resulting site.
  • Conversion Rate: As mentioned above, the higher the conversion rate, the better. You can use different Google ads to measure this conversion rate and see which has the highest conversion rates. Once you've identified which ad type is effective for your business, consider changing it or running more ads on that platform.

Google Ads are much more efficient than print advertisements. The costs and time spent setting up a Google Ad are small compared to the money you will save by not printing the ad in a publication and paying the accompanying fees. You can also remove Google Ads with just one click, saving you even more time.
