Not for me.

Nada.

You see, a career in sales was never part of my plan. Like many, I held onto the stereotype of the sleazy, pushy, used car salesman, and I wanted no part of it. I didn’t like being treated that way and refused to treat others like that. However, as fate would have it, I found myself nudged toward the world of sales by friends and acquaintances who saw potential in me.

But I wasn't about to compromise my principles. Instead, I approached sales on my terms—by focusing on serving my customers and helping them solve their problems. And you know what? It worked like a charm!

I thrived in the fast-paced world of technology sales. With a genuine desire to help customers rather than push products, I quickly gained their trust and loyalty. Soon enough, I was closing deals left and right, and my income reflected my success.

As the sales numbers soared, so did my career trajectory within the company. Climbing the corporate ladder faster than I ever imagined, I was soon appointed as the youngest General Manager in the company's history.

Leading a talented group of salespeople, I continued to promote the customer-centric approach that had served me so well. Together, we propelled our company to new heights, setting sales records and cementing our position as leaders in the industry.

Looking back, I realize that my journey from reluctant salesman to successful GM was fueled by a simple yet powerful philosophy: treat others with respect and integrity, and success will naturally follow.

I still treat people with respect and integrity. But no longer in sales. Don’t worry; leaving sales was my choice and turned out to be a great move for me and my family.
