Menopause isn’t just a personal journey—it’s a workplace issue.
Women often hide symptoms like brain fog, mood swings, and hot flashes out of fear of being judged.
As someone who has navigated menopause firsthand and listened to the horror stories of other women, I understand how hard it is to maintain a straight face at work while your world feels like it’s falling apart.
The Impact of Menopause on Women’s Well-being and Careers
Menopause brings more than physical symptoms. It affects focus, productivity, and self-confidence, making it challenging to keep up with work demands. Many women suffer through embarrassment and shame as they navigate unpredictable emotions, sleepless nights, and mental fatigue—often without the support they need from their workplace.
As a well-being and retention strategist and executive coach for women, I’ve heard countless stories from women in leadership struggling to balance their health with professional responsibilities.
These stories remind me of my five-year battle with menopause, where I tried everything before finding the solutions that gave me my life back.
The Conversations in Color? Workshop: A Space for Healing and Growth
This week, I will host the Conversations in Color?: Creative Solutions for Navigating Menopause workshop—a powerful, creative space for women to connect, reflect, and learn. Through mindful coloring, shared experiences, and practical strategies, participants will explore ways to manage their emotions, reduce stress, and stay focused in their careers.
The workshop isn’t just about learning—it is about building a community where women can share their stories without fear of judgment. It creates a safe space where participants can reconnect with themselves and gain the confidence to navigate both personal challenges and professional responsibilities.
The Importance of Workplace Conversations Around Menopause
Although this workshop is now closed, the need for these conversations isn’t going anywhere. If we don’t talk openly about menopause in the workplace, how can we create environments where women feel supported through every stage of life?
For ERG, HR, and DEI leaders, addressing menopause is more than retention—it involves creating inclusive cultures where employees feel safe and valued. This workshop shows how creativity and community can foster emotional well-being and build resilience.
What’s Next? Continuing the Journey Together
While the workshop may be over, the conversation doesn’t have to stop here. If you missed it, I still encourage you to take control of your journey. You don’t have to struggle in silence or navigate menopause alone. Whether through personal coaching or corporate conversations, I support you.
If you’re curious about my experience with menopause and how it shaped this work, I’d love to share my story. You can listen to it in a prior podcast episode or reach out to learn more about how we address these challenges in corporate R.E.A.L. Talk Conversations?.
?? Menopause is a journey, but it doesn’t have to be one of isolation. Let’s keep these conversations going—because you deserve support at work and beyond.
Can you bring this workshop to your organization?
If you’re an ERG, HR, or DEI leader, discuss bringing Conversations in Color? to your team.
