Breaking the Sadness Streak
‘Falling is natural; getting up is all that matters.’
Have you ever wondered why you are feeling sad suddenly? One moment, your life will go smoothly; the next, you are unhappy.
If you get this feeling, it means that you are having a certain level of depression. In today’s world, being featured on the depression chart is quite normal.
From peer pressure to exam stress to great expectations of the family, feeling at a loss is normal for us. But what matters is how quickly we bounce back.
Everyone has tasks to complete, but the rainfall of sadness hinders their progress. So, how can we stop our sad streak?
First, it's good to try to engage with other people. It’s better to talk out your stress instead of drinking it in.
Next, use your sadness as strength. Try challenging yourself during sad times, like working out or finishing a difficult assignment.
Lastly, take time off. Switch off your phone, shut your books, and walk away from your worries. Spend time alone in nature, or do something you are passionate about.
When you crack a smile, you give a pat on your back for defeating sadness once again.
