1. Instagram Tests ‘Dual’ Camera Mode

Instagram just introduced a new 'Dual' camera option that allows users to capture both front and back camera content simultaneously. Growing up we all heard the saying, “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery” but Instagram really hit copy and paste with this feature. The rising star 'BeReal' is the latest app that’s gaining attention, and various ‘imitations’ as a result. BeReal is centred around a random prompt that is delivered to all users at a different time each day, inviting them to share what they're up to, with a 2-minute time limit.? The app is being praised as the latest rejection of heavily edited social media imagery, with the speed of the sharing process denying the opportunity for any editing of appearance. Given the attention that BeReal is receiving, Instagram is already on the prowl, searching for ways to capitalise on its key elements to counteract the app's growth and enhance its own performance.

2. LinkedIn Adds New Link Sticker Option

Everyone stay calm. LinkedIn has done it again. LinkedIn is now offering a new approach to pushing external traffic with a new link sticker that you can add to images in your LinkedIn posts. Users have been requesting a link’s feature for some time now and LinkedIn is known for giving people what they want. This new feature will be interesting to experiment with, and as LinkedIn engagement grows, it may become a valuable option for directing traffic from the LinkedIn feed to your preferred landing page. According to LinkedIn, the new link sticker is being progressively pushed out, so don't panic if you don't have access just yet,? it will be available shortly.

3. Twitter Is Close to Launching A ‘Pin Reply’ Option

With a new 'Pin Reply' feature now under testing at Twitter HQ, you'll soon be able to highlight your favourite replies and pin them at the top of your tweets for all to see. Once the feature is released widely, you’ll be able to pin a reply and increase its visibility by tapping on the three dots menu on the right hand side of the tweet. The major motivation behind this is to deliver another control element to your Twitter experience. Twitter is striving to give users even more control over how they engage and interact on the platform, with pinned replies providing another little boost in this area.

4. Meta Reaches Next Stage of Bot Development

Meta has launched 'BlenderBot 3', an advanced bot responder dataset that can interact with people more naturally while also using more prompts to steer consumers along a certain line of question. BlenderBot 3 can search the internet for topics to converse about and is supposed to learn how to enhance its own abilities through natural conversations and feedback from humans. It might be a significant advancement for AI systems, and it's worth investigating to see how effectively the system manages interaction and whether it can be useful in your own customer support process.
