Breaking: Instagram Head Announces New Posting Recommendations

Could Instagram finally be moving away from the "more is more" mentality?
Based on recent comments from Adam Mosseri, the platform's head honcho, the answer is yes. I know the constant pressure to overpost on Instagram gives many of you anxiety. So I wanted to share Mosseri's advice, which indicates the tides may be turning.
Let's start with the Instagram glitch causing some users to only allow 5 hashtags per post. Frustrating, I know! But updating your app should fix this issue. While a nuisance, it does signal changes are afoot on Instagram.
The platform also unveiled polls recently. Put these questions front and center in your posts to spur engagement. Polls provide valuable intel on your audience's pain points too. I didn't do this, and no one answered my poll! Learn from my mistake.
Now for the million dollar question - how often should you actually post? According to Mosseri, aim for two Instagram feed posts weekly. That's it! For Stories, he advises sharing your behind-the-scenes life with followers twice daily.
I know some of you don't love creating videos or Stories. And that's OK! As Mosseri said, "you only need to post a couple times a week if you don't have the right type of content to share." Do what works for you and your biz.
