Breaking the glass ceiling !

I realized breaking the glass ceiling to achieve your dreams is harder than it seems. There are many myths you need to break and also account for the laws of gravity which tend to pull you back. It's almost like the 1st law of Newton "An object at rest stays at rest unless acted by an external force"

So for me the external force was the realization that "there is no tomorrow, live today!" driven by some personal events. I felt we human beings are foolishly optimistic and spend a lot of time and energy in securing tomorrow. Not saying that we should not save for the rainy day, but in the tech space we tend to over do it.

Now that the impetus was there, I wanted to fulfill my dream of owning a "supercar". I had no clue how to go about it and which "supercar". After doing a lot of googling and research, went to check out the "raging bull" at the local exotic car dealership. I only managed to press the "launch" button and could not muster the courage to test drive. Absolutely loved the mini rocket-ships, but as my first something was missing.

Then came the breakthrough moment, managed to walk-into a "prancing horse" showroom, breaking many myths. And good news was, you don't get thrown out, you don't need special invite and mostly importantly you don't need reference or be a pre-owner to buy the horse! And then I saw the "Portofino", it was love at first sight, a beautiful elegant red hard-top 4-seater convertible. Test driving it was like a dream which happened in my 2nd visit leaving no doubt in my mind.

Now that I had finalized my "dream car", there were many other hurdles on the way. Starting from the classical lease vs buy decision, to mundane stuff like insurance to the height of my driveway entrance. Also had to cross the hurdle of pandemic in between and finally I brought the horse home early 2022 !

You need to dream big and then to achieve your dreams you need is Courage !
