???????? ???? ?????????????????? ?????????? ?????????????????

Invisible Woman Syndrome refers to the phenomenon where women—particularly those over 40—begin to feel unseen and unheard in professional and business spaces. This can manifest in the workplace, in leadership roles, and even in networking and entrepreneurial circles.

?????? ???????? ???????? ?????????????

? ???????????????? ???????? – Society often prioritizes youth, particularly in industries where appearance and innovation are highly valued.

? ?????????????????? ???????????? – Mature women in business can be overlooked for leadership roles, passed over for promotions, or dismissed as "past their prime," despite their wealth of experience and expertise.

? ???????????????? ???????????????????? – Women who have dedicated years to caregiving or managing family responsibilities may find it challenging to re-enter the workforce or reclaim leadership positions in their industries.

? Internalized Conditioning – Years of being told to be "modest," "polite," and "not take up too much space" can lead women to unconsciously shrink themselves.

Sound familiar? The good news is—you can take back your power. ??

Thanks for putting this phenomenon into an understandable format. Yes. I've been "invisible" many times of the 3+ decades I've been self employed. At times, lately, I'm embracing it. The other side to that coin is that being invisible allows us to sit back, watch, and wait. Then ACT! No one sees it coming.

Wow, Kellie Olver what a great post! (As always!) I feel very confident with my business now. My passion has fueled me. But I definitely felt invisible in one of my last jobs where everyone was just 10-12 years younger than me. P.S. I especially like #2 about staying updated with your wardrobe ??

Beautiful post, Kellie Olver! this hits so close to home. I’ve absolutely felt that sense of invisibility —doing the work, showing up, but somehow being overlooked. And you’re so right—being unseen doesn’t mean being unworthy. I love the reminder that visibility is something we can reclaim. Speaking up, staying relevant, and surrounding ourselves with a strong network of women who amplify each other is so powerful. This post is exactly the motivation I needed today. Thank you for sharing this!?
