The reason for this subject is that I recently had a pretty stressful weekend while staying with my sister - I won’t go into it all here but I must admit I was tempted to have a good old moan but instead I did some tapping!
I find EFT such a great way to release stress and centre myself. Here is a link to Brad Yates excellent video - Family Driving You Crazy...?!!! It also made me laugh and that can only be a good thing! ???? ♀???
Since that particular weekend, I have been thinking a lot about my sister and the rest of my family, what with it being the 27th anniversary of my mum’s passing recently. We had a very difficult relationship. In fact, she had a pretty toxic relationship with all of her 4 children and although I continue to forgive her, I am still working on breaking the family patterns passed on from her and also my dear dad.
Childhood trauma doesn’t have to have a capital T - as children, we learn coping strategies for all of life’s lessons. At a very early stage in life, we learn to weave our way around the people in our life and their emotions and issues.
BUT these coping strategies don’t always help us later on as adults do they?
We also absorb certain beliefs from our parents and other care givers which have been either directly spoken to us or we have observed them, again at a very early age.
I wanted to share these pics of the house my mum was born in - it’s a ruin but if you check out my blog here, I share how I had such an incredible epiphany the last time I was walking around near it.
Do you feel like you might be stuck in a cycle of repeating the same old stories from your parents or even grandparents or even further back?
The will to rid yourself of old, dark forms of energy and introduce a new loving energy may come in the form of an epiphany, like me while I was wandering near the house my mum was born in. That awareness has come after my journey of personal development and much forgiveness for my mother. I am now in a place where I totally understand her and I feel closer to her now than I ever did when she was on this earth.
You may one day simply realise that certain aspects of your early life have negatively affected your health, wealth, happiness, and ability to live the way you want.

Only when we understand how family cycles have influenced us can we gain freedom from those cycles.?
In my blog, I offer some suggestions to break those family cycles or patterns - follow this link.
And this other tapping video from Brad Yates may also help with breaking the chain of limiting beliefs passed down through the generations. I found it very powerful - here’s the link.

Here is a?Louise Hay?affirmation which I have found helpful,?“I?forgive?you for not being the way I wanted you to be. I?forgive?you and I set you free.”? Remember that forgiveness also sets you free.
With much love and thanks
