Breaking the Burnout Cycle

Breaking the Burnout Cycle

My Story. One of my male principals asked me one day, "LaTonya, when was the last time you take a break as an Autism mom?"

I had to stop and think.

I had not.

I have been a single mom for all those years and just kept going and going and going. Of course, I got sleep and enjoyed my life, but I never thought about the fact that I had never had a break. It was an eye opener that I needed to make sure that I did burn myself out.

Sometimes we get into habits of moving and moving and moving and we don't think it can wear us out. It can. I have not experienced burnout, but I have taken days off just to have time for me.

It's Season 2 of the Sincerely, Autism Podcast! ????

Episode 2: ? Breaking the Burnout Cycle: Strategies for Autism Moms
