?? Last week, CLIA celebrated the wrap-up of Seattle's 25th homeport season of Alaska cruises during a special event hosted on board Norwegian Cruise Line Norwegian Jewel. ?? This annual event honors the significant contributions to the successful cruise season by local port officials, business, tourism and hospitality leaders, labor partners, suppliers, U.S. Coast Guard, and Customs & Border Protection. ?? During this Alaska cruise season, the cruise industry brought more than 1.7 million passengers and over $900 million in economic impact to Seattle and its surrounding communities. ? Norwegian Jewel was plugged into the new shore power connection at Pier 66 during the celebration — Port of Seattle is one of the world's few ports to offer onshore power at all cruise berths, further supporting the cruise industry's progress reducing air emissions while at berth. ?? Special thanks to Norwegian Cruise Line and the Port of Seattle for co-hosting this celebration. ??#WeARECruise
