Success...
It comes with hard work.
But even now for many housewife cum moms, it's like an untouchable spot.
I wish to share my journey.
In 2018, as a mom of 5-month-old son, I started freelancing. My days were juggling between trying to be a professional woman and being a wife and mom.
My duties were handling my toddler, meal preps, house chores, and endless practices for my profession.
I remember working on my first project as a content writer. On one side, my hands were searching for work-related articles. On the other side, I was handling my toddler's crankiness, seeking my attention.
It started becoming hectic to handle the writing by being a mom. My nights and days were sleepless, postpartum depression, getting tired, regular house chores, etc.
Between this, I started to forget my regular practice as a freelancer. I lost my vendors because of improper turnaround time. I planned to quit being a professional woman.
I thought, maybe that was not my cup of tea. I have to start focusing on my family. My life started revolving around my son and husband.
On one casual day, I went to a mall with my toddler. There I watched an argument scenario of a mom and her teenage son. At a point the teenager says to his mom "You don't know anything about this, I will ask my dad about it after he comes home."
You should have seen the face of that mom who has a sad face unable to prove her worthiness to her kid.
That became my trigger point. I gave a thought to the women's situation. Women won't often come out for work after getting married. Families make them believe that a husband's earnings are well enough for the family. So, what is the need for a woman to work???

All women would have gone through this situation, including me. I don't want my kid to grow up with this mind. He should respect all the women.
My thoughts were that even though it's not compulsory, women should work because:
After imagining myself as her, I decided not to give up on my dream of being a professional mom because of the current struggles.
Taking a break is not bad.
I started again from scratch.
Now after 2 years of struggle, I got into an internship. Yes, I'm proud to say that all those late nights and tough moments have paid off—I’ve landed as an intern in a company that values my skills and understands the journey I've been on.
"Success isn't about achieving the goal; it's more about the journey."
To all the moms out there, trying to carve out a career while raising a family, know this: It's tough, but it's possible.
Your dreams are worth the struggle.
Keep pushing forward—you’ve got this!

6 个月Thank you for sharing this post about the behind-the-scenes of successful women. It's important to highlight the hard work and dedication that goes into achieving success, especially for women who often face additional challenges and obstacles. One insight I would add is the importance of having a strong support system, whether it's family, friends, or mentors. Having people who believe in you and encourage you can make all the difference in pursuing your goals.
