Breaking Barriers: Making Golf More Accessible for All

Breaking Barriers: Making Golf More Accessible for All

At The Chase Golf & Country Club, we're passionate about breaking down the traditional barriers to golf, creating a welcoming environment for everyone. Our fantastic, challenging, but incredibly fun course is open to everyone—you don’t have to be a member to enjoy our facilities. Whether you're practicing on our state-of-the-art driving range, trying out a round on the course, or enjoying the clubhouse, The Chase is here for golfers and non-golfers alike.

Inspiring the Next Generation: Junior Golf at The Chase

Our junior golf program is thriving under the leadership of James Lloyd soon to be Connor Parry. James plays a vital role in building and developing the team, fostering a sense of camaraderie while encouraging them to compete in local competitions and participate in fun golf days.

The Chase is also a hub for junior development, offering:

  • Junior Golf Camps during school holidays, which are always a hit with families.
  • Tailored Junior Coaching sessions with our talented golf coaches, designed to nurture skills and ignite a love for the game.

We believe in empowering the next generation to fall in love with golf, and the enthusiasm of our juniors is proof that we're on the right track.

Teeing Up for Women’s Golf

Ladies at The Chase enjoy more than just a game—they’re part of a warm, welcoming community led by our supportive Lady Captain, Angela Bateman soon to be Sonia Hallmark. The ladies' section meets every Wednesday for a blend of friendly games and lighthearted competition. It’s a space where golfers of all levels and abilities are embraced, from complete beginners to seasoned players.

Beyond the course, the ladies often gather in the Golfers Lounge for breakfast or a drink, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and fun. With regular competitions, social events, and fun golf days, our ladies' section is a cornerstone of inclusivity at The Chase.

Reaching the Wider Community

We believe golf should be for everyone, and The Chase is actively reaching out to new audiences. Through collaborations with local schools, charities, and community organizations, we’re introducing the joys of golf to people who might not otherwise have access.

Our open days and community events are perfect opportunities for anyone—regardless of background or experience—to pick up a club and give golf a try.

Accessible for All

We understand that accessibility goes beyond attitude; it’s also about providing the right facilities. At The Chase, we’re committed to ensuring our course is inclusive for all abilities. Features like adapted golf carts and accessible pathways make it easier for those with mobility challenges to enjoy the game.

Additionally, we offer flexible memberships to encourage new players, ensuring there’s an option for everyone to join our community without financial strain.

Golf for Everyone

Golf has a reputation for exclusivity, but at The Chase Golf & Country Club, we’re changing that narrative. Whether you’re a junior taking your first swing, a woman seeking a welcoming community, or someone simply curious about the sport, there’s a place for you here.
