?? Breaking Away from the Corporate Hustle: My Stop Motion Animation Workshop at NID ??

As a designer navigating the fast-paced world of corporate projects, I’ve often found myself yearning for a more creative, hands-on outlet that reignites my passion for storytelling. That’s why I am incredibly excited to be leading an ongoing Stop Motion Animation Workshop at NID – National Institute of Design, a place that has played such a pivotal role in shaping my own design journey.

Working alongside bright, curious, and talented Bachelor of Design students has been nothing short of inspiring. It’s an opportunity not just to teach but to collaborate, to witness firsthand how young minds approach the stop motion medium with fresh perspectives and boundless creativity. Each session is a reminder of why I chose design as a profession—the joy of bringing stories to life and the magic of combining art and technology to craft visual narratives.

Beyond the technical aspects of stop motion, what I find truly rewarding is the chance to help students articulate their artistic thoughts and guide them in bringing their ideas to fruition. The feeling of watching a student’s work evolve, seeing their growth as artists and storytellers, is incredibly fulfilling.

As an alumni of NID, it is an honor to be back in this inspiring environment, not only to share my knowledge but also to learn and grow with these young creators. The process of teaching has truly reconnected me with my roots and reminded me of the importance of nurturing creativity, collaboration, and the power of storytelling.

In a world filled with deadlines and client expectations, this workshop has become a breath of fresh air—a time to rediscover the joy of design without the pressures of corporate life. It’s a rewarding, reflective, and joyful experience that I’m so thankful for.
