“Dive into a jungle of tasty treats at our breakfast buffet, get up close and personal with some cool creatures in our interactive animal encounters, and have a roaring good time making wild memories with your loved ones. It was untamed fun for the whole family!” exclaimed Zachary Recckio , restaurant manager.

A Jungle Adventure

As members arrived, they were greeted by fierce stilt walkers and a friendly llama, setting the tone for their wild adventure. The club’s ballroom was transformed into a vibrant jungle, complete with exotic animals and a plethora of activities. Children delighted in decorating their own safari hats, while a friendly kangaroo entertained everyone, and a sleepy sloth charmed all attendees.

The petting zoo offered an up-close feeding experience with cute and cuddly creatures, while the more adventurous members marveled at snakes and reptiles. A roaming puppeteer, along with his animal friends, ensured that everyone had a laugh.

Serving 403 members and generating over $13,000 in revenue, the event was a tremendous success, but the true measure of its impact was the joy it brought to the members. “Everyone left with an ear-to-ear smile!” Recckio noted. “Breakfast in the Wild was one of the members’ favorite events of the season. The positive feedback and overwhelming response showed us just how much our members appreciated the effort.”

Implementation and Reaction

The creative events team at Mirasol, led by Director of Catering and Events Keeley Abramo , meticulously planned every detail of the event. From brainstorming activities to curating décor, every aspect was designed with all ages in mind. “Keeley’s creative touch made this event special,” Recckio praised. “Her vision, combined with our dedicated banquet team, led to a very successful event.”

The event sold out in one day, with a long waitlist. Members were wowed from the moment they arrived, greeted by a friendly llama and jungle animal stilt walkers at valet. Inside, a baby kangaroo, reptile show, face painting, and safari hat creation station kept everyone entertained. The petting zoo on the terrace was a hit, with members spending considerable time interacting with the animals and learning fun facts from their handlers.

Member Feedback and Future Plans

The brunch buffet, featuring a Wild Waffle Station and themed desserts like zebra cakes and monkey bread, was enjoyed by all. Member feedback was fantastic, with many expressing their amazement at the variety of activities and animals. “We are already planning to host this event again next season, possibly with added activities like a map or passport for children to track their interactions,” Recckio shared.
