Breakfast with a senator, anyone?
Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber
The premier business and civic organization dedicated to growing the vibrancy and economic prosperity of the region.
I am excited to extend an invitation to our next Monthly Member Briefing, featuring a keynote address by a distinguished leader who has been an advocate for growth locally and nationally: Ohio’s Senior U.S. Senator, Sherrod Brown.
Though his list of accomplishments is significant, one in particular is critically important to this region: the Brent Spence Corridor Project. The Cincinnati Regional Chamber was instrumental in creating and leading the Build Our New Bridge Now Coalition more than a decade ago, and Senator Brown has been an ally throughout the entire time we have advocated for a new companion bridge. His support and leadership of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act was critical to the project’s funding, and he stood with us on the banks of the Ohio River last year as the financing plan was unveiled. He was joined by President Biden, Leader McConnell, Senator Portman, and Governors DeWine and Beshear.?
Senator Brown has held his Senate seat in Congress since 2006, and as a lifelong Ohioan, he has spent his career fighting for what he calls the “Dignity of Work – the idea that hard work should pay off for everyone, no matter who you are, where you live, or what kind of work you do.” Senator Brown serves on many committees, but he currently chairs the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee, where he champions policies that support growing cities like Cincinnati, including a particular focus on public transit, where he has been a steadfast supporter of Cincinnati Metro.
Throughout his tenure, Senator Brown has championed bipartisan legislation that promotes innovation, infrastructure development, and equitable growth. By advocating for investments in education, workforce development, and local businesses, he has played a crucial role in helping our civic, business, and elected leaders position Cincinnati as a hub of opportunity and progress.?

One personal note about Senator Brown – he knows this region deeply. If you’ve been in a meeting with him, you can expect he’ll ask you about a specific Reds baseball player, an infrastructure project in a neighborhood, or a person he’s known over the years. I appreciate his willingness to “get local” with us, and on Thursday, you’ll have the chance to engage with him about what matters to you and your business.
With that, I invite you to join us next week for a Monthly Member Briefing that promises to be an engaging and insightful session, providing valuable perspectives on the policies and initiatives that will shape our region's future. I encourage all of our members to attend, engage in the discussion and Q&A, and gain a deeper understanding of how we can collectively help our region grow.
