Put everything else to the side right now.
Focus on one thing.
Answer this question: What is holding you back right now?
Get to the answer. Identify the biggest obstacle preventing your progress. I don't care if it's personal or professional progress. Just find the biggest obstacle - the one leaping to the front of your mind right now.
Got it?
Hold on. Make it really solid. See the image of it, not just the words. If it's fear, define what that fear is. If it's resources, define the missing resources.
Now... why?
Why is that an obstacle?
You don't need to jump to an answer. This is a chance to just hit pause and actually consider the questions rather than jumping on to the next thing on your schedule. (It's a rare gift we give ourselves - time and space for introspection.)
Now here's the real question...
It turns some people off to hear it:
What do you have to gain by continuing to limit yourself?
(I can hear the eyes rolling from some. That's okay. It took me a long, long time to come around to this kind of thinking, and I was learning directly from Ben Glass.)
For those who are open to it, I know there's an answer circulating in your mind. It's probably just below the point of full articulation either because it's uncomfortable to talk about or you haven't thought about it much before.
And for what it's worth...
This kind of thinking isn't limited to six-figure firm owners or seven-figure owners or even eight-figure owners. The ones who are living their most fulfilling lives are finding ways to ask these questions of themselves regularly.
These are the kinds of questions we often ask of our members.
If you like to be challenged in how you think, then you'll fit right in:
Sincerely,
Charley
