The Break Room is Almost Here!

Whew!

OMG, creating a brand new thing takes an enormous amount of effort - especially when you're a solo entrepreneur like me.

But follow along. You're going to want to know about this.

I'm creating a community for retail leaders.

The Break Room is a new community. It's a safe space for retail leaders looking to connect with others who understand the challenges of leading a team on the frontline.

If you've worked in a retail building, you know that the break room is where community happens. We bump into each other, chat, and offer help. We hold orientations in the break room and strategize about our upcoming season. Everything goes down in this one, often very small, back room.

In this virtual break room, I'll provide a supportive environment where members can come as they are, free from judgment, share their experiences, ask questions, vent, and find creative solutions.

Our back room is designed to help members recharge and reconnect with their passion for leadership. At our community (led by Kit), you will meet like-minded leaders who can offer guidance and support. Whether you need help managing your team, navigating company policies, or dealing with demanding customers, we are here to help.

We understand that leading teams can be relentless, which is why we encourage members to take five, connect with others, and recharge.

What about LinkedIn?

LinkedIn is awesome and I'll still continue my work here however, I can't shake the feeling my boss is looking over my shoulder and I don't even have a boss.

The Break Room will allow us to chat openly without fear of our companies watching what we say.

In order to truly grow in our roles and in our careers, we must feel free to speak about work in an unfiltered way.

This extraordinary community space will be officially launching this week!

I've built the group using the Mighty Networks platform, and it's super dope. (It's like what you wish Slack was). Yep, they even have an app. I'll also be able to live stream within the platform, record, create courses, and so much more. The Break Room will only get better with time and with you!
