Break Out the Sunscreen!
Wow! May was a whirlwind and we are now officially on summer break! (Well, at least the little ones are.)
May was filled with a lot of fun business and personal events and activities.
Professionally, I hosted 3 virtual events and 3 in-person events including the launch of the new Investor Boardroom at the Citrus Club! It was an honor to host all 6 events and make an impact in the community. Through these events, we are providing education about passive investing, reaching women in business and have helped small businesses access close to $2 Million in payroll tax credits to help their businesses grow.

Personally, our family celebrated a lot this past month. Between birthdays, Mother's Day and Memorial Day, we have a lot to be thankful for. I'm heading out of town to pick my niece up for our annual summer vacation. I'm looking forward to lazy days with the kids and to crushing them at game night!

Here are some highlights from the first quarter In FL:
Melbourne and Orlando markets are far surpassing the national average for population growth.
Florida's job growth rate is on par with the national average at 3% with Jacksonville lagging behind a bit. In terms of rent growth, the Florida markets are seeing the same or?higher rent growth rates as the national average. Orlando rents are higher than what we are seeing in Tampa.
Additionally, three Florida markets have a higher year-over-year rent growth rate than the national average. These are all significant and positive signs for the future of multi-family and other real estate ventures in the Florida marketplace.
Overall, the number of transactions compared to last year is down. This just means it is harder to find a deal that pencils out, but deals are still out there and we are looking!
