Regardless of how unique we think the path we've selected is, somebody has probably already tread that path. Probably many people.

And every once in a while some of them stop to leave a few breadcrumbs for the next one down the path. You'll find those breadcrumbs in the form of books. You can choose to ignore them or, if you're lost enough or hungry enough, pick them up and read them.

Maybe you'll get the knowledge to walk that path a little more quickly or avoid the dead ends. Maybe you'll just get some knowledge.

The breadcrumbs on the path to success are in books. Why not read--a lot?
