BRAVERY SUCKS!

Fuel Your Growth: Transform Your Expertise into a Personal Brand that Amplifies Visibility & Impacts Ideal Paying Clients
How often are you being brave in your current work?
Sucking it up to do a project you hate?
Taking on clients who are the bane of your existence?
Staying in an industry that causes you pain?
If you need to be brave, there is something to fear.
Think about that.
Bravery implies you need to do something even though you are scared.
Bravery isn't required in comfortable, positive situations.
Bravery isn't required if you are living your best life.
Bravery is required when there is something to fear.
So...WHAT ARE YOU AFRAID OF?
Are you afraid of pivoting to the work you want to do?
Are you afraid of leaving the security of work that pays the bills, but bleeds your energy dry?
Are you afraid that pivoting to a new path will cause you to fail?
In years past, I found myself whispering "suck it up, buttercup," sticking to a path of professional unhappiness to pay the bills with work I hated, in a company I built that caused me painful reminders of my past, working with clients that sucked the life out of me.
I was making great money, but I didn't want to get out of bed, turn on my computer, and keep making money this way as my income felt tainted.
I was great at my work.
I was admired by my industry.
I made a difference for my clients.
But I had to dig deep and bravely show up because I feared what would happen if I walked away.
Even though I knew I had to pivot, I was afraid to because it felt like I was flushing away my financial, psychological, and time investment in my professional education as a dentist and entrepreneur (an investment of over a half million dollars - yikes!)
The day I committed to my pivot, I had six figure contracts staring at me on my laptop.
My finger loomed over the send button for what seemed like an eternity.

Eventually, I started sending emails to decline this work not aligned with the pivot I needed to make.
The relief came.
The clarity came.
The energy came.
My ideal day to day life came.
My ideal clients came, unsolicited.
I started changing the world with what I know at an accelerated pace, with more passion and soul than ever before.
I stopped hearing myself say, "suck it up, buttercup!"
Instead, I could breathe and just be.
The stress vanished.
The money showed up.
The work evolved and got richer and more colorful as I had time to develop my depth of expertise in personal branding on LinkedIn.
I stopped being brave because bravery sucks - it is telling you something isn't right and the energy it takes to try to ignore that intuitive warning system is exhausting.
Instead of being brave, figure out how you can just be.
How do you want to live?
Who do you want to work with?
How do you want to change the world with what you know?
I guarantee, when you decide to burn away everything not aligned with that, everything else falls into place - the money, the clients, the energy, the life.
It's time to stop the bravery because bravery sucks!
